Kingfisher with Bullhead Fish |
This is one of the largest catches which I have witnessed. All morning a rather bedraggled female kingfisher in the moult was fishing from the perch and then a brilliantly coloured male arrived, dived in caught this huge bullhead fish and then flew off again. The entire incident lasted about a minute, but made the days photography worthwhile.
